We are waiting since March 2019, and no sign of anything happening soon, our PR has since expired and we are moving country, so we will possibly be moving without our citizenship.

Just took my oath. Reasonably well organized. People from 49 countries took the oath in Montreal. The time said 1pm. We started lining up for the document check around 12:40pm. They took my PR card away. They checked my driver's license and health card. And ask you if you have any criminal proceedings or immigration problems. You sign a declaration and get your package. It took them until 2pm to have everyone seated. The ceremony began and was done by around 3:30pm. There is a speech by an official, then a speech by an immigration judge, then the oath, then everyone goes to the stage to collect your certificate, get your photo holding the certificate, sign another declaration that you have received your certificate. Then another welcome speech by the judge, the national anthem, a video message from the PM and then it's done.

Thank you everyone for all your help in this journey. Wishing everyone in the September group the very best in their journey to becoming citizens.

Hi,
How many (approximately) names and dates involved
Thanks
I only had one question about names. No dates at all. Others get questions about dates. It's completely random and you could be presented with either. To prepare I read the book twice and did some online quizzes.

I suggest you renew your PR cards and come back and take your Oath. Renewal of PR cards takes maximum of 2-3 weeks only.

Thanks, My oath gets ceremony completed. Its morning batch 9:00 to 12:00 PM slot. We had 310 persons from 46 countries took the Oath to become the Citizen.

Still, my ecas is showing as the decision made, I hope it will change in a couple of days before I apply for a passport.
It was a wonderful experience and so smoothly organized by Immigration Canada.

Thank you all the member and Good luck for everyone who is in the process of becoming proud Canadian.

Hi. You have to wait at least 3 days. It says "Please keep in mind that you must wait a minimum of 3 business days after your Citizenship Ceremony to apply for a Canadian Passport" in your email.

And Did you bring this?

All of the original documents in your possession – Immigration Record of Landing (IMM1000) or
Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM5292 or IMM5688);

Is it something like the checklist when I submitted my citizenship application? or can I bring only CoPR?
