Hello Friends,
I was filling the application form and have a little doubt on question 9c where is it asked whether you lived outside of Canada during eligibility period. It also states that if answer is YES then complete the CIT 0177 (Residence outside of Canada form). But this form is for Crown servants.
I have lived outside of Canada during the eligibility period but i am not a Crown Servant so my question is do we need to fill CIT 0177 form?

I know someone who has similar to your case. He sent his application in Sept, 2018 and did not fill CIT 0177.

Yes it is a confusing question, I was in the same situation so what I did is , I checked Yes as I lived outside before pr and inside the eligibility period, didn’t fill the form but wrote a short explanation (additional sheet) that I lived outside Canada before landing as an immigrant but I never served the crown , I have no period to claim while living outside Canada and this rare situation is not applicable to me , hence I am not enclosing for cit 0177
