Thanks for confirming.I also went to the website and went back to the page where the application forms are.The page shows last modified on september 9th 2016.I am guessing the only modification was that form and it happened on september 9th.I signed my application on 8th september.I sent everything that was required.Plus further rxplanations about my time.We should be good. You applied from montreal as well?

Is it true that calgary/alberta applications are being processed much faster then the rest of canada?
I signed my application on September 9th in the morning and sent on the same day. I applied from Fort McMurray, Alberta. So my office will be edmonton as it is close by to Fort McMurray.

Hope they will process our application fast.

Hi VraiVie,

I have the same situation, at the time of completing my application it was the old form, I submitted my application on September 9th too. I called CIC and they said it will not be an issue. The representative explained me that so many application got rejected because applicants were not sending detail information if they have any kind of gap between their passports so thats why they include those points. But she said if you your all documents are correct and you send explanation letter then no issue.

As she said "They changed the form not the law".

Hope it will help you some sort of.
Thanks for your feedback this should clear things for sure

It doesn't really matter when it was mailed, what counts is when it was delivered, cause that when the process begins.

After AOR how much time there is to receive test invitation?
Would there be enough time between test invite and the actual test?

What does AOR means? Was any processing done?

AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt (of your application). No processing yet.

Usually there is 2-4= weeks time between test invite and actual test.

the process begins once that envelope is mailed..and no longer in your hands..
aor is when they open your envelope and check that every requested document is there
in process is when they start to input your info in the system to forward it to the local office nearest to you.

The purpose of this forum is to track the processing time of the applications at the CiC once it arrives. How long it takes to get there has nothing to do with cic, it has to do with the courier company and mail service.
So it doesn't add any value to the application process tracking whether it took 1 day or 1week to get there. All what matters is when it was delivered and that's where the tracking process starts counting not when it was sent out. which applies to any general business as well.
Hope this clarifies things further.
Thanks you.
