Hey guys, my application status turned to "decision made" today, it was still "in process" yesterday!

What should I expect next? are they going to call me or send me an email concerning the decision??

My husband and I are so excited!

Depending where you are citizenship wise if they don't require your passport to be sent to them?, then you can expect your COPR in the mail in the next so many days!

Thought some might be interested in my immigration timeline that I kept track of during the process!

May 7th, 2014: paid immigration fees $1040
June 5th, 2014: received FBI check?
July 29th, 2014: medical done

September 4th, 2014: sent papers to CIC
September 5th, 2014: FBI check expired
September 9th, 2014: CIC received aplication
October 14th, 2014: AOR received bc they thought we were inland instead of outland
November 14th, 2014: Sponsorship Approval (Mississauga started working on it Nov. 7th after inland mistake)
November 25th, 2014: mailed CSQ app to MICC
November 26th, 2014: MICC received app for CSQ
November 28th, 2014: MICC charged credit card
December 8th, 2014: Received approved CSQ (dated December 4th)


May 5th, 2015: CSQ requested by Ottawa
May 6th, 2015: Ottawa received CSQ
May 15th, 2015: called CIC call centre to confirm CSQ was attached to my application
June 5th, 2015: submitted visitor extension & GCMS notes

July 6th, 2015: received GCMS notes.
July 14th, 2015: emailed MP (No response, on vacation til Aug 1st.)

July 29th, 2015: e-cas says application went into process this day (after DM).
July 31st, 2015: COPR was mailed by CIC

August 1st, 2015: DECISION MADE!

August 4th, 2015: called CIC to see when COPR was mailed- was mailed July 31st.
August 6th, 2015: received COPR in the mail! Expiration date: 7/22/2016

September 1st, 2015: Will be landing!

Hey everyone... I've been busy starting my new life here in Canada. I am so happy to see that some of you have gotten DM!!! .. It looks like everyone from the Ottawa office waiting had DM now right? .. I hope that everyone else from September hears something soon!.. I will be keeping track of the September sheet until everyone sees DM.

Wow you and Maria I think got pretty much a year to land going from when your meds were to expire, and my wife only got 2+ months from the med expiry.. Hmm?? Maybe that explains the itchy rash I've had ever since COPR? Oh well she's landed now and we're all set, so I guess I better get to the med clinic asap ;D Congrats everyone! 8)

What the heck?! I'm sorry. That must have been stressful.
I did my meds July 29th, 2014. And it expires July 22nd, 2016. So idk where they pulled that date from bc it's def not my med date. I'm guessing, based on when I went into processing and when they sent the COPR that it's when the medical extension got approved or something.
I'll know more once I can order GCMS notes again.

No stress and no sorry's needed 8) We were going to flagpole asap anyhow so it didn't matter if they only had given us a week or a year etc.. I just found it interesting that others got a $hitload of time to land and all that compared to us..

Heck Leah you might as well save your 5 beans on a new set of GCMS notes and just land already! 8) Didn't you wait long enough?

No stress and no sorry's needed 8) We were going to flagpole asap anyhow so it didn't matter if they only had given us a week or a year etc.. I just found it interesting that others got a $hitload of time to land and all that compared to us..

Hahah!! I can't land yet bc I have belongings in storage back in the US. Hopefully I can bring most of it with me, but the rest I have to account for so I can add it to my b4. Even though pretty much 95% of it is personal belongings (nothing I could sell, or whatever they're worried about people importing). But better safe than sorry.
Plus! I get to meet my 1 year old niece for the first time while I'm there!

Forgot to mention in all that, that we bought a plane ticket the day after I got DM. We were so lucky to find a regularly priced plane ticket dated weeks after we bought it!

Unfortunately we were asked to send additional documents so our process got stuck because of that. We just send them last weekend so hopefully our application gets moving again!
