So I got an email from Ottawa today. Got my hopes up though. They just now are telling me to send my CSQ. Not too sure why they waited so long. I thought they checked to see if all documents are there awhile ago....
I'm hoping this doesn't delay anything. Going to mail it now!

Good that you hear something. Silly question, whats a CSQ?

If your sponsor lives in Quebec you have to also apply to the Quebec government separately for sponsorship. CSQ is the document you receive when they approve you. I thought they were suppose to send a copy to Ottawa but I know sometimes the visa office asks for it so maybe I'm wrong. I did think it'd be asked for earlier if it was missing but I think this means they're going through everything at least.

I think this is a good sign for you 8) It seems many times when they ask for stuff this late in the game you'll often see a DM happen not long after you mail off what they are asking for etc.

Ordered my notes today!... I am hoping to have DM before I see them in June, but maybe this will get the ball rolling. Who knows, I am trying anything at this point. I will stand on my head if it means Ottawa will get started on us Sept applicants!!!.. GO GO GO Ottawa!!!!!.... Ok Im done... lol Good luck everyone.

I had the same idea when I ordered the notes three or so weeks ago thinking maybe it will speed up the process, hopefully soon! 8) ( btw no notes yet)

With you standing on your head and for myself having toes, fingers, and eyes crossed for a good long while now, I think we should all get some happy news soon. ( I hope so it's really hard to navigate like this) :D

Let's hope, eh! :D
I sent it express so it should arrive tomorrow. Although when we sent our app this way it was delayed... -_- luckily we have 45 days to get it there but I'd rather them get it asap.

So my mom got something from Canada immigration in the mail today! She now is mailing it here, mail takes so long to get here though. So they didn't change my address in the system yet. Well heres to more waiting 8) Im pretty sure its my COPR :)

Also I wanted to put a link out there I wish I knew of this program a year ago. A Canadian wife told me about it and she used it in Ireland to be with her husband for awhile. It allowed her to work while waiting on immigration. I honestly would have went this route. Maria you are familiar with the forum is there a good place to put the link for others to be given the opportunity?

Awe, I was hoping they would have "Canada" on there. Bummer!

It's like a working holiday visa, an open work permit, but it's only for current full-time students that are US citizens and are under the age of 30. That's really specific, lol.

I'm also a little perturbed by the fact that their site's copyright is from 2014 and all the dates are from 2013/2014, at the latest. It says nothing about 2015. I wonder if it's still in effect. 5 months is a long time not to add new program dates or update your site's copyright...

Edit; nevermind. See next post. US Citizens are not eligible for an IEC/working holiday visa for Canada.
