Agree... It went well for us when we used Canada Post last year.

Wow... Time flies... Some time last year I was compiling the application... Seems like last month...

What is happening with Canada Post at the moment, I've been reading so many issues about them on this forum recently. Are they just incredibly inept now? I remember when I posted my application from the UK the guy behind the counter rolled his eyes when I said it was going to Canada and took a lot of time to ensure everything was exact.

so my package is waiting at work and scheduled to pick up monday morning! What is this about a new updated form that may delay processing if you still used the old one??!! Because I believe close to all of my forms I used from back in June so if any have been updated since then, I will not have used.

Also last week my puppy chewed up part of my passport/ripped out a few pages and the cover, so I now most likely have to get a new passport. Does anybody know anything about having to get a new passport in the middle of this process?

My current work Visa expires mid January, so I'm hoping everything can all be finalized before it expires!

You need to use the most updated forms. Your application will either be returned or at least they will request the new versions potentially causing a delay. Best to fix this now before your package gets sent. Even if it delays you a day filing your application it will save time in the long run. Some people sent their application in late July, one form was changed on August 1 and CIC still returned application. Quite unfair.

Hello everyone! I would like to ask about the proof of relationship to sponsor, I'm planning to send our chat messages on skype but it is in our native language but there are some english words too like saying I love you to each other. Should i have the non english conversation be translated to english?

Yes you should.

You do not need to go overboard. Some people on here have done it like this:

Native language (paragraph/sentence etc)

then

English translation

Make it clear that first comes the native and then the translation.

I sent my package on the 15th this week, FedEx said it was delivered on the 16th. Did you all get an email from CIC to say they received it? And if so, how many days after you sent it?

Is the first stage Sponsorship Approval?

It's not common to get a letter that they received it. The first you will probably hear is when you get the sponsorship approval unless you have outdated forms in which case they may send you an e-mail requesting the updated forms. You can track it with Fed-ex to see when it gets received also.

I WISH they sent an email when they received it!
Since I had some much trouble with Canada Post. -_-
