My Husband and I have FINALLY finished everything needed for our application. I almost can't believe it!! :D

I made this topic to support each other in notifying at our different stages of Outland Spousal Sponsorship.

London will be processing our application once I am approved as a sponsor.

CHEERS,

Erin and Danny Finn

Great news.

By the way, if you click Profile (in the top right of the page) then under Modify Profile on the left, click Forum Profile Information you can enter dates for sending, AOR, etc and this appears underneath your username in your posts. It is handy for others to see your application story!

Internet high five! We finally finished our application last night and I FedExed it to Mississauga this morning! I've been scouring this forum for the past couple months while we've been getting everything together and looking forward to the day when I can post in one of these threads.

Thanks for starting this.

Sent off via UPS this afternoon - here's hoping for a smooth and efficient process

Hello,

Yes we got married here in Canada ( I'm on a work permit). The documentation says to wait 90 days after your wedding before applying. I applied online and it arrived 2 days later. Upon viewing the certificate I noticed that it was issued 1 month after our ceremony.

Our application was received in Mississauga this morning and signed for by "STEFANIE" according to FedEx. :D

Now for the waiting. Seems like the first thing we will be looking forward to is the AOR, which according to the CIC website should be some time in about 6 weeks if I'm not mistaken. I assume this is snail mailed, so will take some additional time to arrive here in Los Angeles?

Is there anything I can/should track in the meantime?

The first thing you will get will be SA in about 6 weeks, that is unless they request any additional information. AOR is no longer being sent for outland applications.

If you provided an email address, it will be email it to you, otherwise it will be snail mail. Not much else to track other than this forum until then.

Good luck.

Cool, good to know. I did provide an email address - so will keep an eye out for it. Thanks!

A quick question - who will get notification about sponsor approval - the sponsor or the applicant?

The sponsor will get it by e-mail, assuming they entered an e-mail address.

Hey,

We were married in New Brunswick on March 09, 2013 and the marriage certificate that we signed at our wedding was our actual marriage certificate. It looks fake and everyone always laughs but it is our actual certificate.
