My application is outland, however similar to a couple of people today I also got an AOR email today. It doesn't look like I can access the status of my application though ECAS yet , but the email only stated that they received my application on Sept. 25 and would notify me once they start processing it. I hope to get SA early next week :)

What we are saying is that this other person also sent in an OUTLAND application but they made a mistake and put it as inland (this is when they got their AOR). They still have not received SA. If you are confident that CIC didn't make a mistake then no worries you don't need to call. We were just suggesting you call to make sure because outland applications do not normally get an AOR. I got my SA in 48 days NO AOR.

Good luck :)

Just Thinking....

I got SA on 10/28 and it has been Silent since then. I haven't been contacted by the Ottawa VO, I have no idea if they are processing or if they even received it yet. (I hope they did! lol). The only thing I know is that the received my medical.

Should I consider the silence a good thing? I am guessing that they would have contacted me already if something was wrong, missing, etc..? ...

I think I am just getting anxious because I am heading up to Canada to visit my hubby until COPR comes in. I am worried they are going to need something. AHHHHH..... I am happy we have SA but not hearing anything is so nerve wrecking!

Hey guys

I'm another September Outland applicant. Was supposed to go to UK. But they kept it in missisauga. :s but seems to have been quick. I have decision made on my onlinend ecas. Does anyone else have a similar situation ? Like it got kept in missisauga? Also does anyone know how long they take after they say decision made ? On another forum I think they said the UK is visa exempt ? So does anyone know what I am waiting to arrive ? ( saying that everything is okay I guess ? )

Thanks

When did you send in your application?? ** could you add yourself to the Sept Spreadsheet please :) **

This seems to be the "it" thing now. Overseas apps are kept in Mississauga and DM is super quick. Happy for you... but sad for the rest of us! lol..

At least now we can leave the Americans alone lol.. Since we always get bashed for having it "easy" lol..

If you have DM on your PR app then you are waiting for them to send your COPR. Usually Visa exempt countries just have to send in a scanned copy of their Passport. The instructions should be in the decision letter.

Hi. Yeah honestly I do feel bad for everyone. My partner and I were strapped in for a long ride and just caught a lucky break I guess. Our application got there Sept 9th I think. ...then around November 10th we reached Dm.

Ah okay was getting confused because I saw on most forums everyone loozing to get their passport request letters. So got confused lol

Wondering how log it takes copr takes. Been about a week now but sure it will take longer to get here.... I guess you are right too I hope there is a little pack that comes along with it...as much homework i did for the application I am kind of oblivious as to what happens after lol

Hi everyone, sorry I've been M.I.A. for a few days. I wasn't getting emails for this thread anymore for some reason.

So, on Thursday I called CIC and here's what I managed to figure out:
Called and pressed for answers and she said "Well it's just delayed" (I asked if there was anything we needed to do.) And I was like "Oh, it is?!" And she said yes bc it was put in the wrong department first!!!!!!!!!!! Finally they just come out and admit a mistake was made!!!! She said she doesn't know when it was transferred to outland but there's a note from November 7th saying they're working on it.

So that was yesterday and today we got SA!!!!!
So for those of you who don't know, we submitted September 9th and got an aor October 14th. Seemed weird, called 3 times that week to see if everything was going smoothly. They wouldn't tell me anything bc I'm not the sponsor, so my husband finally talked to some one and they just said we have to wait and be patient even though we were over processing times by then.
Called a 4th time around end of October/beginning of november. The guy said our app was inland and we told him no, it's definitely outland. He acted like he just slipped up and said something wrong. Assured us everything was ok and we just needed to wait.
I called last week and the lady again told me to be patient and its ok that we're past processing times for SA.
Did get a UCI # out of her but no other info. So on yesterdays call is finally when someone actually admitted to their mistake. So if you applied outland and get aor, I urge you to call and make sure it's filed as outland. The first 3 times we called we told them it was outland and none of them ever told us it was actually filed inland.

Anyways, got transferred to Ottawa. My home country is the US, but on my residential address I have my husband's address as they know I'm here on a visitor extension (one of them confirmed that when I called.)
We're hoping to send our Quebec paperwork Monday and get back on track a little bit.

This is an AOR - I would call to confirm its OUTland and not inland. This happened to someone else and theirs had been mistaken for inland when it was supposed to be Outland. Outland doesn't get AOR

I will call first thing Monday morning!

How do people know for sure that "Outland" doesn't receive AOR? We got two emails on day 50 Thurs Nov 13. One was this:

UCI: -----------
Application No.: ---------
Quote these numbers when corresponding with our office.

Dear David ----------,

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/09/24 on behalf of the following member(s):

Sherry ---------

The two mails came at the same time and the other one says I met the requirements to Sponsor and it had a bar code at the top of the page and also said my application is being sent to CPC-O for further processing etc.. I can't copy and paste it here to show for some reason..

BTW Congrats to everyone who have finally heard something at least or received their SA etc Woot! 8)

Because 98% of the time OUTLAND doesn't get AOR and the last person to get AOR was mistaken for outland. We are just offering cautionary advice. Those who want to take it can take it and those who don't want to can leave it :) ... Its just advice to call and make sure that is all.

Congrats to you on your SA.

Thanks Maria I guess we should give them a call then :'( The people that were mistaken as Inland did all they receive is the one mail stating AOR or did they get the second mail along with it also saying approval for SA? We got two different mails at the same time, one for AOR and one for SA etc.
