I just called cic and the lady I spoke to told me they can't do anything to my file not until Aug. I applied in Sep 2014 it's 17month already now they told me to wait till August. I think they don't know the information they give out can actually kill someone.

i am a mid-august applicant and i have been asked to wait until mid-may (exactly 21 months from the date they received my application)

You guys should really stop calling CIC and asking these questions. We have been through this time and time again. Its better to ask your local MP to get an update for you.

Hello guys, I just called CIC call center. A very NICE agent (Sharon?) checked my file for me. She said there's an approximately 4 months delay in Ottawa office now and for September 2014 applicants, everything(MR, RPRF, and PPR) will be done in June 2016. That's not bad! Finger crossed!

I know someone who called CIC more than 10 times a day. out 10, 7 people had confirmed that we gonna hear something in April.

Files get transferred from Sydney to Ottawa after you receive AOR.

Sydney is the intake office, Ottawa is the processing office.

Is Application Due Date in the GCMS notes refers to the date before which decision has to be made?

i dont think calling CIC is of any help.
Half the agents are giving a different due date and processing time while others are saying it will happen soon.
I called one today and she didnt even take my client id number but was basing her facts depending on the information i was providing her.
So in short, I think the agents have been told to tell applicants of a far off processing time so applicants dont call and annoy them.
Could this be true?
Also Merengue says they told him/her that file will complete in June due to delay .. this is contrary to the progress we are seeing currently for September applicants

No, it just mean that your VO has to touch your file by this date ( to see if they received some documents they requested per example ).

But don't worry, looks like they are working on file before the due date nowadays

So far, we only see a few September applicants who have decision made with upfront medicals and RPRF. I think the agent i talked to meant that all September applicants will receive the decision even if you don't do upfront. So i guess those who did upfront will receive it sooner than June. But June doesn't sound bad for me at all!

I dont know why people keep calling them. If you follow this forum, you will know they started working on our files so I would suggest to wait and be patient. Because of your annoying questions, you never know they might not answer the legit questions too and its bad for those people who have serious inquiries to ask.
