Yes, I have double checked that the email address on the file is correct. And if CIC actually uses the barcode, there should not be any scope of mistake. But do they?

I dont think so there is margin for error in this case.. I believe they would definitely go by barcode rather than manual entry.. I wish you good luck friend. Probably you would have to wait for them to write a reply back to your email.

Hello! So happy so many of you have received your AOR! still waiting for mine.

As I was reading through the forums, seems like one common case of rejection is that employment letters listing job duties don't closely match the NOC. Seems like this is my case... my NOC is 5241 (as per previous LMOs) but after reading more online I believe what 5131 is more accurate. What do I do? Should I wait for AOR and then send a letter stating correct NOC? Should I reapply under Express Entry? I can't afford waiting 18 months just to know it'll be rejected (we are out of Canada and I believe the window to apply is only 2 years)... is there a phone number I can call them at?

Also, if anyone have a thoughts on this: For those (like me) who didn't submit RCMP record with their application, would it be a good idea to get it checked now so when they request it, it will be ready ?

My situation is that I haven't been else where other than Canada for more than 6 month, so no record from my country is needed. so for record in Canada, I am not even sure will they be able to check from their system or will request me to submit one?

As far as I know, CIC itself checks the Canadian police records and only if there's an issue they'll ask you get RCMP clearance report. But before they ask you, don't send them anything. It doesn't take long to get a police clearance certificate.

I just got my AOR! Big time!
Now feeling sorry for those who are being refused after unexpectedly reaching the 8k cap. If you are reading this, I hope you guys figure this out - I promise I'll help as much as I can through sharing what I've learned from my own experience.

There's no harm in applying for an Express Entry.

Whats your job title Ohana? If your previous LMOs have been under NOC 5241, you should be fine to keep it that way.

I was kind of in a similar situation. I put my application under 5131 as an Editor but I work within the VFX industries as VFX Editor. I know most VFX artists fall under NOC 5241.

Officially I'm a video game designer. My previous titles (from newest to oldest) have been: Game Designer (NOC 5241) / Senior Combat Designer (NOC 5241) / Senior Combat Designer (NOC 2174)...

You are not on SS. check spam folder. Usually for Bank Draft or DD submitted applicants, they are taking little longer to issue AOR. Are you with that?
