Congratulations to all who got PPR.

Just spoke to CIC agent and the lady mentioned that they have received instructions to add additional 4 months to the processing time and asked me "kindly" to call back in July 2016 >:(

In my honest opinion don't listen to CIC agents in my 19 months time period i have call them only twice so don't worry CIC is working very fast on clearing backlogs...

Hi Harsha,

I understand the situation and feeling but I would suggest to not call agents unless something you need information address, fee etc. Otherwise these agents know nothing but scares you a lot whenever you call them. CIC is now stick with old applications in order to finish them asap. you see it right now Sep 29th applicant got PPR request too.

If you havent hear anything, that means your application could be,
1. Security/Criminality still in progress - This process is different from country to country and person to person sometimes.
2. Officer may be required second opinion on your application. That does not mean you will be rejected. Could be require to send additional documents if they required. Personally for me a second review is always a positive sign because senior officer will take correct decision.
3. Could be delay because you added dependents recently.

So there are several reasons but no need to worry until you hear anything from CIC.

Good luck!

Abdul is right, I was told the same when I called them in January (sort of expected a 'stock response', but I got them to take a look at my GCMS notes :D). It's been the standard response for a couple of months now.
