You may receive MR email first then your Ecas will update or vice versa, normally no specific notification for Ecas update you have to check it manually.

Kindly throw some lights on ecas "second line" update. What is Second line in ECAS? When can one expect it? Is it before AOR or After AOR.

I just recently received PER. What is my next steps?

For some people, PER to MR is faster (less than 2 months) and for some others, it is taking 4+ months. Am confused. Can someone clarify me.

Hi Nicksar,

Second line update will reflect on ECAS portal when the actual file processing starts.. Second line something like " We have started processing your application on <Date>".

Yes, expected time for MR after PER is unpredictable and it depends on various factors like VO workload, file documentation and few more... , but it is observed that after getting 2nd line update MR will initiated with 15 - 20 days (also depends on Background check and supported documents you have provided).

my second line update showing as "we started processing your application on feb 21."
iam not sure which VO is processing becoz i have not received any AOR. it must probably be NDVO. so keeping fingers crossed and hope MR follows at the earliest. thanks
