ok...should I jump for joy now? just called cic for an update on our file....the agent told me that file is with local office....security check is completed and waiting for exam schedule.....maybe wrong information? what do u think? so fast? just to let u guys know that I have 1 year cushion in my residency in Canada.

Not trying to kill your joy, but call again and check. You might get a different answer....

I was told before too that my file was transferred to local office but its still at Sydney lol.

If you agents give the same response, then yeah you can count on it

Mine started processing a month before you, but again every case is different. Wish you luck. keep us updated

something to add....I called the call centre for some other reason and when I asked to check the citizenship application she said that my file already got transferred to the local office. how is that possible? they just started to process it

Well why is this a news to you when you said on November 15, 2013, 03:09:09 pm the above. That your file was already transferred to local office as soon as they started processing your file on Nov 12, 2013.

I guess you have been prioritized for processing. You are one lucky person

I didn't believe her at that time lol.....today when I called again it sounded more real and to the point.....I don't know but as long I get my oath within a year I am happy

Shaikat information is right. I received AOR before Christmas and at the same time RQ which I was expecting and prepared for it, I didn't call CIC even one time but I am confident most of the files if there is no complication is at local offices now and mine should be at local office too since I been advised by Sydney to submit RQ @ local office, so it means my file is already there or should be arriving one of these days.

same goes for your Shaikat, agent is right your file is there I would say get ready for test in month or 2 people from April and May already got citizenship in December and yesterday... Good luck I am Happy for you you were the first one in our group to have status online anyway.... cheers

Hi Harryad,

Have you responded to the CIC letter. DI'd they only ask you for that letter.
Even I was asked to submit report card or transcripts for my online softwsre training.

Please respond if you have got any response from cic after that.

Not at all. They are working with October applicant and as far as I am concerned they are at the last stage of opening October applications.My application was received at Sydney on 15th October and I have received AOR even on 06th Jan 2014.

I spoke with CIC agent today, my file was transferred to Scarborough (local) office on Dec 27, she advised me that I can expect oath ceremony approx in 16 months , since now April 2013 applicants get their citizenship oath :-[

I dont think your file transfer info is correct. Since Dec 25 is a federal holiday and the file transfer cannot happen on that day....

You might wanna call and double check with another agent again
