How did you hear the news? Did you have to make a phone call or did you just receive an email or so?

Let's hope some of the others have been approved and they just haven't received the news yet!

i lost hope ..mon mari doesnt want to call them he just want to w8 for the letter. he is positve that he will receive mail than email ... i said u want to w8 until nxt year. he is too busy and no patient to call for automated.. he have lots of deadline cause he come 3 weeks for now...well congrats to all of u...

if they sent email are they still sending a mail letter??......

i think i dont need client id too cause im applying quebec and ive read that u cannot track from ecas if u apply in quebec. hope not mistaken...

Perhaps your husband is just one of those people who has confidence that it will be alright, and is determined to stay calm and not let the immigration process drive him crazy. I wish I was a bit more like that!

Realistically, I think in most cases a phone call will not speed things up. It will just give us information about what's going on, if we're lucky that is.
I will probably make a phone call if my sponsorship approval is more than a week overdue and I haven't heard anything, but that's just so that I can have information.

yeah he is very relax he said he dont want to be both of us get depress if we not get gud answer from them.. im jealous to other cause when they ask call them. they call them right away...mine not i said ur not excited he said he is.....
it drives me crazy this things.. i almost said to him just withdraw the application so that i will not think about itt........cause he dont want me to think about... but my feeling with this is like u apply for a job or something that u want to know the result if its gud or bad..........

Lots of people don't visit forums and don't make phone calls to CIC. And they are still ok, they still receive PR's.

It is natural to think a lot about something that changes your life so much. But getting nervous to the point where you feel you have to withdraw the application to remain sane, is out of proportion. You and your husband want to be together, right? Good things are worth waiting for! We all have to wait, a phone call won't change that. You have to stop driving yourself crazy over it! Take a deep breath and realize you can't control this thing. We did our part by filling out the application and gathering all documents to the best of our knowledge. Now it's up to CIC and they will do what they will do. It's not in our hands anymore. That is an uncomfortable feeling but we have to come to terms with it.

Your husband is probably just trying to distract himself so that he doesn't have to think about it so much. Perhaps you should try that too. However, perhaps you can make an agreement with him, for example "If we haven't heard anything by _ _ _ , we're making a phone call". It is just a phone call after all, the worst that can happen is them giving you no information.

I know what you're going through, I am going through it myself and it is harder than I thought. Every day I think about it and every day I consciously do things to keep myself busy, to distract myself. And every day I will be one day closer to receiving PR. I wish you good luck and peace of mind!

I called and they said it's currently still in process and I should get an answer in a week or two. :'(
