What should happen?

I just came back from a two week visit with my wife and we are still somewhat in the dark as to what to expect next. I was approved as sponsor on November 15th and got a letter to that effect shortly after. She has not received anything (should see be receiving a letter in Lima, Peru?). The website only says that a decision for sponsor was made and that her application was received on September 9, 2011.

Also what does PPR signify? Permanent resident?

PPR = Passport Request, usually the last step before being approved as a Permanent Resident.

It has been a month since my PPR and eCAS still says 'In Process'. My birthday in coming up in 3 days, and my wife's pregnancy is going well, but still I'm missing out on taking care of her everyday. :'(

Congratulations on your wife's pregnancy!
If the baby will be born outside of Canada, please check with CIC if you need to do something in order to make sure the immigration goes smooth for your new family. At the very least you need to let CIC know when the beby is born. Perhaps that's all, perhaps you need to do something else. But please check, I've read cases of people who didn't and got into trouble because of it.

Thanks Indigo. No, my wife is in Edmonton right now, and she will be giving birth there, I just wish I could be there just in time. I've read everywhere in the forums that once eCAS turns into "In Process" I should just be counting weeks, if not days, before I get a DM. The waiting game is killling me, but one must learn to be patient, no? Anyway, happy that you have landed. Take care and bundle up, it's pretty cold there now.

Filed: September 8 (outland via London)
Sponsorship Approved: Early November
File transferred to London: Sometime in December (my SO has the login deets and I don't have them handy!)
In Process: This came through sometime in early January
Medical Received: January 17
RPRF Request: Had no clue about this, as we were doing it all through a lawyer and trusted they would ensure EVERYTHING was included with the initial application. A request for this came through this morning (and was paid today and faxed to Mississauga), but we are now very annoyed that this could further delay the process.

Not really sure where it goes from here. I know that PPR usually comes next, but who knows how long it will take to get that RPRF all sorted with London. Hoping it's not too long now but I don't want to get my hopes up. Also don't know if this means there's no interview or if that part has still to come. So confused!

I know September -> now isn't long but it feels like this whole process has taken about 90 years. Perhaps it was the four months of gathering and form-filling and photo-captioning (300!!)... Definitely ready for it to all be over.

You need 10 posts before you can include your timeline on your profile. As for waiting we're all pretty much in the same boat. I know London processes apps much quicker than other VOs, so you still have a chance to finalize your app pretty soon! Probably your lawyer didn't make it much of an issue to pay RPRF upfront. But this is a good sign that they requested it now because it shows it's getting to its final stage.

I wish I was going through London Mine would take much longer time than yours because I still haven't got any correspondence from my VO except for AOR.

I actually had no idea it would be so quick. I wasn't expecting to hear anything until July. Yesterday's request for RPRF caught me off-guard si I looked it up to see if it might mean we were getting any closer... I was shocked (and pleased!) to see so many people getting processed in less than six months.

Maybe you can try sending PM to Kedeisha (the one responsible for our spreadsheet). She hasn't been in the forum for a while, so maybe by PMing her you can get her attention.
