Hello,
I got married last year and it has been a while that we got separated. I applied for PR through Express entry and marked Marital Status as 'Married', because, I thought Legally Separated is different from Separated in Canada. I recently came to know that it is the same. I got the ITA and now the application is asking for all my spouse details. In this case, do I have to mark the marital status as 'Legally Separated' in the PR documentation or should I apply with a new profile all together in Express Entry and get a new ITA?
Furthermore, when I put my marital status as 'Legally Separated', what kind of documentation should I show, because, we have not started any of the divorce process yet. I think my divorce proceedings might take time, as my ex is trying to be smart. He was the one who threatened me to leave several times and abused me verbally, but now after I left, he says, he never said so and wants me back. I have decided to not hang on to this relation anymore. So, he might not cooperate during any of the documentation process. How can I convince the CIC about this issue, without providing any documents.
Thanks!
