Hello! My Husband got his PR a year ago. We live in my moms house and we have separated. He is now saving and moving out in 4-5 months (he says). 1st question is how can I become legally separated if he is on the same address? Can I?
2nd question if he ligally separate before living together for 2 years what may happened with his status? Thank.you!

You can be separated after 2 years. He won't lose his status unless it was conditional PR. You are required to support him for 3 year period. Any welfare or assistance from the government is a loan you have to pay back.

Conditional PR was dropped a number of years ago. Even if he had fallen under the conditional program originally, it would no longer apply now.
