Today I submit my papers from Canadian EMbassy Abudhabi... classes will start in 1st week of september and from Abudhabi office it take 4-6 weeks of processing a study permit.... plus 20 days more for applicant having south asian nationality!!!
I applied in Animation course .. its a 2 years diploma in NBCC-Miraichi Campus!!!!

How do i start. I have booked ielts date. How should i apply to college?

Are u from India??? is so then fine because from India it takes 2 weeks for processing.... Better u give ielts first because mostly requirement is IELTS.... but try to contacts college see their fees and the requirement of the Admission and try to fnd out which COurse u want to apply and fit in and match with ur previous qualification and skills!!!

Start researching on the admission requirements of your prospective university as requirements may vary. See if your qualifications meet their standards. Also check for the deadlines since international students have earlier deadlines compared to PR's and Canadians. Contact the program coordinators for your specific inquiries. Complete their requirements. Usually they will demand transcripts, reference letters, research proposals (for postgrads), English proficiency test results. Usually, you have to send official copies of your transcripts and English test results. Apply online! Wait for 4-6 weeks for the results.

If you're still eyeing for the Fall 2013 Term, you must hurry up as most universities have already closed their applications for admissions. Good luck!

Congrats man!

For me, i am planning to take ielts soon and apply to couple of colleges through a consultant..

After much contemplation, i figured my case may get rejected at visa stage if i apply without help.

So praying that consultant would help smoothen my case and things will turnout good.

Got LOA from Uni of Windsor.
Application almost complete. Will apply to the Embassy within the next 2/3 days.
they say it takes six months.... But i also hear that people have gotten a reply 4 months. Fingers Crossed, hopefully mine is done in 4 months too, otherwise i will be late.

Any other applicants in the same boat as me ?

@Nadeem Jee: This is how I've done it and it paid off well. I don't exactly know what !!!!! means. Hopefully it's something positive.

@vaibstep: I think hiring a consultant is a good move as you may only have a limited time to lodge a successful application before the Sept2013 intake.

@458 Bridge: I'm also on a boat to Canada but mine is going to the University of Calgary. I'm also in the process of gathering all requirements for the visa application. I plan to apply online because it's much faster than paper application. The best of luck to both of us.

@458 Bridge: I'm from the Philippines and usually it will take 15 weeks (average as per embassy website) to process a study permit application. I learned from one thread here that an online application may only take 40 days...
