Seniors Plz... When calculating points for Work Experience??

When calculating points for Work Experience, do we count the total number of years of work experience? or only the number of years of experience realted to the NOC code we are applying under.

For example: I have a total of 5 years of full-time work experience, but only 2 years of work experience for the NOC code I'm applying under (NOC 1111). How many points would I calculate??

I'm applying under NOC 0111/1111 and I have total 2 and half years of work experience under these codes. The remaining 2 and half years of my work experience is not listed as one of the 38 job classifications. (under which we can qualify to apply for immigration as FSW1).
So, I still get 21 points??

To determine how many points you can earn for your work experience, go to the Occupational Descriptions page on the NOC website. Follow the instructions to find the NOC category that matches your work experience.
If the initial description and list of main duties match what you did at your last job(s), you can use this experience to earn points under the selection factors when you apply as a skilled worker

Its clear from the above. You will get points for the exp. that fall under the 38 list and Skill level O, A and B

You will get points for 2.5 years of exp only.

Can you please write the occupation of 2 years which is not listed in 38 category?

We will check whether it is in Skill Type O or A or B.

If it is from Skill Type O/A/B then you will get 21 point for work experience...
If it is from Skill Type C/D then you will get 17 point for work experience...

8 months- NOC code 1112
3 months + (4 months off work) + 2 months = total 5 months at the same company- NOC code 1111
2 and half years- NOC code 0111 and 1111
Off work for about 5 months
Currently- NOC code 1111
