Hi,

I am currently on a work permit in Canada and have applied for permanent residency.

My brother is a citizen of Canada.

We have a business opportunity we want to take on, is there any way for me to quit my current job, notify CIC that I am starting a business.

How will this affect my PR application or do I have to wait for my PR in order to do business.

I am a buffalo applicant and according to a few websites it takes about 25 months to process which means I still have about 15 months to go.

We don't want to let the opportunity pass so please advise.

You can start a business, but without a work permit (unlikely that you will get one) you can't work in it.

But I currently do have a work permit.
