Hi Seniors,

I have a couple of questions to ask:

1) My express entry application is in process. Recently I have received a US B1/B2 visa for business/tourism. Should I inform CIC about it?

2) My PGWP was issued until my passport expiry. Now that I have received my new passport how should I extend my PGWP? Should I apply online or do a paper based application? Also can some one send me the link to do that?

Thank you, appreciate all your help.

In my opinion, No need to inform CIC regarding this unless you use your B1/B2 visa and visit USA.
if you visit USA, this should be shown in your Personal history while sub, itting the PR application

APPLY ONLINE. you can find this link in ur CIC account where u started ur Express entry profile.
Thank you, appreciate all your help.

I hope this might help

Not sure why either

Hi,

For the last 10 years from the date you are submitting the application... You need to give the details regarding your travel, employment, unemployment etc., in your personal history leaving no gaps.

Once you get an ITA, when you continue with ur application you need to fill some of fields before submitting the PR Application. In which personal history is one the fields to be filled for the last 10 years (Work and education history will be filled already). You need to fill the gaps.

Before submitting the PR application if you travel to USA you need to specify that unless your work history already filled there during this timeline.

Correct me if I am wrong.

I hope this helps.

kvr007's take is generally right on the money. In short, CIC does not need to be informed about your nonimmigrant visas except when you're filling out forms where they ask you to disclose all your foreign visits. Also, I believe CIC has no forms re: EE where it asks you to list your every visit to foreign countries if less than 6 months stay. Sorry I'm typing from my cell phone and this response is a bit ad hoc. I invite those with more knowledge to share what they know abt this issue.
