I have applied under FSW2 on 12th of March-10. My status is showing "Received by Visa Office". Unfortunately I missed one call from CHC New Delhi today. Telephone Number was "+911141872000". Again they dialled my residence number and enquired about my name, her name, Reaon Official/Personal of my visit to Canada in 2007, ask about my company name and from which company I applied Visa (The name of the company was differ as I had received invitation on company which was our group company but I am working in different company). My wife has given satisfactory reply and the lady has also told to my wife that I am not picking my mobile. I called on that number and reception lady told me that who soever called you he/she will call you again after some time. But I did not receive any call from them?

What you people say I am being checked background? On what stage they checked it after completing review of my file/docs? Does this background check means I am eligible for processing? Then why my stats is showing "Received by Visa Office".

One more thing would they call me again? What are the chances of my P.R.?

Kindly give your kind suggestions/views?

They may not call you again as they must have been satisfied with the replies of your spouse. You will receive your medicals soon. No need of any concern for not attending call.

Ash_1967, dont worry, They got replies whatever they want from your wife. Your application will be process ahead. No need to worry for not picking up call.

i too got the call from same number in Nov 2009...when i recd the call th status was recd by visa office. after the call it changes to in process & after 2 days of changing to in process i recd medicals.

But the girl who called me pretends herself as sales executive of some credit card company.
SHe enquired me my age, residence address, co name, salary designation , department where i am working, since when i am working, previous experience, etc etc..

I know it is a situation where you worry same thing happend with me as well. They called my office and I was not there. Well see, they usually say that they will call again and if they have a doubt or not satisfied by anything then they will call and if they are satisfied then they will not call. Yes your background checks are on and in order to check whether your file is eligible for processing or not. It means it has started.

Best of luck and its almost mid way to Canada now.

Hi Ash,

i got a call too from the same number, but i was in meeting so i didnt picked up the phone. Whoever was calling, they called me continuously 4 to 5 times.

When i came out from the meeting, i tried to call back on that number, but i think that number is just the one way and i was getting engage tone every time i called them back. i tried it 15 to 20 times...

I thought that it might be call from the sales company, and then i gave up calling them back again. My wife also didnt received any call for cross verification. Now that i read ur post, i suddenly realised that from the same number i got a call...i dont know whats gonna happen now as i didnt asnwered their phone. I filed my case on 26th March and i think i got call from them on 12th April or so. My current status is "Received by VO"...

Hello Paresh,

It is not the number of sales company but of CIC New Delhi, I personally called them and its gone to computer and got instruction on that I should dialled the extnsion to talk the desire person or wait for operator. I got connected in same number in one attempt? You can now tried them again and would get it but I think there would be no use as the reply you will get from reception that who soever had called you will call you again?
