Not really. My friend applied his SP together with SOWP for his wife. He applied non-SDS and he got his approval in just one week. Just saying that technically, the process you mentioned that SOWP can only be applied after the applicant already have approval is incorrect.

Oh that's good then the OP should follow that. My only worry is since the OP is not in his home country that it could cause some issues.
