Sending off our App December!

Hi guys, Monday we are sending off all our paperwork for my PR. I have a few last minute questions. Firstly my FBI Background is probably out of date, because it took so long for us to get all our stuff done. Will they just get to that point and require us send a new one later on. Its no big deal I guess...maybe a slight delay?

Also if I got my PR, what other things do we need to do before I move to Canada? Buy my personal health insurance? Anything else?

If I get my PR and go to the border will I be questioned like I have been in the past for hours? 1 time I was rejected the other I was allowed to visit my hubby for a few weeks, with the threat that if i wasnt out of the country by my plane date I would never be allowed to come back lol.

Long story short, I tried to visit Canada with too much belongings and I had quit my job, making it look like i was trying to move illegally...which was not our intent, and it has haunted us for 2 years.

It's very important that you disclose your past denial to enter Canada in your application...which I'm sure you did...right?
If your FBI PCC is over 30 90 days (or will be when CIC receives your application (on Tuesday, because you're sending it express courier I assume), it will be expired. You can either wait for CIC to request a new one, or you can have your fingerprints taken again and request a new one now. The FBI website states that it takes ~ 12 weeks (plus mailing), so by then you should have received your AOR, which will give you your file number, so that CIC can match it with your application.

Yea we inclosed the papers and wrote an explanation of what happened. I was allowed in Canada 4 months later...

Dang it I was hoping they would just kinda maybe skim over that and not realize its expired...-.- This is ridiculous!

So is it 100% they will catch it is out of date or I wonder if they let things slide?
