Hey all,
When we send in our passports (after passport request)
- How long does it typically take to get back
- I have an old/cancelled passport with valid US visa attached to the new passport. Should I send in both (old and new) passports.
- Should I leave the Work permit stapled to my passport when I send it in?

Thank you much.

hi
- takes around 2 weeks (but in past, it took more than 1 month too) but now, it looks little faster
- since it is attached you can both together (it will be safe), but if separate then send only new one, CIC applicationi will have newer passport info for your application so no worries
- stapled work permit can be removed for safer side to avoid loss as it is only stapled.

Thanks for the responses.
One more q -

We received a passport request. My wife (Principal) is on an Indian Passport, but I am on a US passport. Do we have to send passport even if we are from Visa exempt country. The email states to send in passport for her and family member. Im thinking I should send it in just to be on the safe side.

Thanks

This is totally up to you. Your passport will not be stamped, but you will be issued a CoPR instead. If it were up to me, I will send the passport, as the PPR email does not explicitly specify not to send passport for visa exempt individuals.
