Hi,
I'm an Indian student with a study permit that expires on 30 the march 2019. I am going to be flying to Toronto in a week and I need to change my college and take up a course that starts in May. Is it okay to live in Toronto until May if I move there right now?
I have an acceptance from Douglas College, Vancouver for a marketing program that starts in Jan but I want to change my course and all colleges have their seats full for the Jan intake.

It'd be of great help if you could help me out here.Thank you!

Sure - you can try to do that.

Be aware that you cannot work in Canada until your program starts in May. This means that you will have to bring enough money with you to support yourself without working between the time you arrive now and next May.
