Hello ...

So my sibling and I decided to immigrate to canada and have a business there , we dont have much money , but we searched online and found small farms , and small restaurants that we can afford , also we found houses for renting , but we dont know anything about the next step? ... is it acceptable to canada to have a small business , and how can we apply ? what type of application? and is it better to have a farm or restaurant which one would give us easier immigration? also how long would take to process our papers? and should we buy it from here or we buy it when we arrive?

Thank you

If you want to apply through the self employed program, then only the farm would work. You won't qualify for the self employed program if you buy a small restaurant or houses. Note that you must have 2 years of experience in managing a farm to qualify.

You may also want to take a look at the start up visa program. This is for people who want to immigrate by starting a new business in Canada.

And just to add... You and your sibling cannot both immigrate through buying the same farm. If both of you want to immigrate - you would have to purchase a farm and qualify on your own - and your sibiling would have to do the same thing separately. If you do not have much money, this may not be a realistic plan.

I have no idea if you will be accepted. It depends if you meet the program criteria. For example, each of you must have a minimum of 2 years experience managing a farm to qualify. And you must be able to prove that you have this experience. You should expect the processing time will be several years.

And you must be able to prove that you have this As per new changes the farming category from self employed has been removed and the new processing time is just 24 moths for other self -employed category.
