Hi All, I have been running my own interior design company since 2013, however, in 2018 I partnered with another construction firm to get more design jobs. our agreement states that my design firm will do the design part of the job, but I have to be the manager of the construction company and manage the construction phase of the jobs I designed. If jobs don't have design in the contract, I can assign another project manager to it. I get paid for managing the construction process based on the contract sum that I brought in. if I don't sign any construction contract, I won't have any reimbursement from the construction company, so basically I have 2 self employed jobs since 2018.
Over the years, the Design jobs alone is good for me to apply pr in self employed stream. I just worry that this construction management income will complicate things and disqualify me for self employed stream.
Please any advice is welcomed.
