I believe self employed work experience is not considered for express entry applications. However, the CiC website includes the following statement for self employed business and incorporated firms:

"If the applicant is self-employed, articles of incorporation or other evidence of business ownership, evidence of self-employment income and documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details (self-declared main duties or affidavits are not acceptable proof of self-employed work experience).
If the work experience is in Canada, proof may include copies of T4 tax information slips and notices of assessment issued by the Canada Revenue Agency (the time period for these documents should reflect the work experience timeframe [e.g., work experience from 2006 to 2008 requires only documents from those calendar years])."

Does it mean that they are willing to accept the self employed experience?

Or does it mean that they are willing to accept business owner experience but not self-employed

Self-employment is accepted for foreign work experience, if you can satisfactorily document it.

It is NOT accepted for Canadian work experience.

Hi,

I am self employed for last 4 years. Own a trading and wholesale business. Total work experience of 7+ years. Quit my job as a Sales Manager in 2014 and started this business. CLB 9, MBA + BE, and my calculation of CRS is 454. What are the chances to get PNP or direct EE ITA, provided I am a business owner now.

Also, I have decided to choose 0621, as my NOC, as it matches the most with my current work and nature of business.

I have all the necessary documents to prove that I am owner and running the business, (GST registration, Invoices, CA audit report, ITR, bank account, CC limit etc)

What else?
What are the chances of getting through?

Cheers
