Hello,

I am a bit confused on what is the self addressed label on the CEC form checklist?

If it's an envelope with my address on it, I am concerned what happens if I have to change my mailing address before say even my Medical call?

Thanks for the help in advance.

It means you have to write your address on the envelope you are sending to CIC including your application.
If in future you need to change address,You just change your address on ECAS and also send an email to cic. It will be updated.

Self addressed mailing labels are NOT envelops with your address on it.
They are more like stickers with your address on it which you can get from Canada Post for free.
It is just so that CIC has an accurate copy of your address when they send the documents back.
Especially in cases where applicant's mailing address is outside Canada, they don't want to send your documents to a wrong address.

I agree with HY325.

Thanks, so what happens to those self-addressed mailing labels If I were to change my mailing address?

Will the case office discard them or is there a risk for sending whatsoever documents to the wrong (previous) address?

Old labels sent will not be used. CIC will update records with the new mailing address and correspond accordingly.
