Selection of schooling system

Hello everyone

I'll begin with apoapolog if this has been raised and resolved in past and I was unable to locate the right thread.
Please redirect me to the threth.

My qursques is regarding selecting right school for my 7 and 11 year olds.

Currently they are attending IPC curriculum here in Oman.
We are planning to land in Toronto in July 2018.

So far what I have found is that Toronto offers both Canadian curriculum and IB in Public schools.

I have been trying to find vis a vis comparison or Pros and cons of both these systems but have not been successful yet.

Can someone who has gone through this help us?

The school your children attend is based on where you live. That is the biggest factor. IB program is still very very small and is only available at a few schools in Toronto proper I believe. I think your bigger choice is between French immersion or English and there is also Catholic public school (although you can be from any religious background to attend) in either French in English.
