Selection of city for port of entry

Hi,

I got a student visa for Windsor university situated in Windsor,ONTARIO, Shall I enter through Vancouver,BRITISH COLOMBIA as I wish to visit a relative living in Vancouver ? Can the authority ask me why have I entered through Vancouver?

Does the port of entry matters ?
