Seized home country passport

Hi guys,

I claimed refugee at the port of entry, and I became permanent resident last January.

Does any one know what is the current procedure to get the passport back.

note: I know I can't use for travel or for any other purposes but i prefer to have it back. Thanks

There's a thread here where people are discussing getting their passports back after becoming a PR. You'll need to make a request to get it back. Read through the discussions below:
