Hi,

My husband would like to apply for a visitors Visa for me to have our baby in Canada. I am having a tough time going through my pregnancy alone and would like to do it with the emotional support of my husband

Our PR application is still in process but we would like to apply for a visitors Visa. My husband has a permanent job & is financially capable of taking care of me & our baby. He has also added me to his health insurance at work.

Has anyone experienced the same situation & given a Visa?Do you think we have a chance at securing this Visa? or do you have any other advise?

You can try but since you have a spousal application in process, it will be more difficult. You need to show strong ties to your country and show you are visiting. Processing times can be long.

You will not be covered for the birth so make sure you have the funds for it. Work health insurance will not cover it. Work insurance will cover upgrades from a semi private to a private room but not the actual birth as it is covered under provincial health care.

Most extended healthcare benefits through work will only cover you if you qualify for provincial health coverage.

Very unlikely to be approved but you can certainly try. What province do you live in? Are you working full time? Do you have property in your home country? How long have you spent in person dating or as a married couple?

Since your PR application hasn't been approved yet, this is the SAME as tourism birth. You can sure apply for visitor visa, it may or may not be approved.
And even if it's approved, it depends on how late is your pragency if the airline will let you border (may need doctor's note/approval).
And after that CBSA may not let you through if they suspect that you are coming for tourism birth.

Also be prepared to pay for all child birth and doctor's visits out of your own pocket. The only chnace that it's covered by private insurnace is if your husband is covered by his work in the US. Some US company's health insurnace covers child birth of spouse if they travel to Canada.

If he works in Canada now, this is not possible. As previously replied, extended health is only covering spouses if they are already covered by provincial health. And as a visitor, that's NOT covered in most provinces. (may help if you tell us which province you are travelling to and what status your husband is under. Applying for PR is not a valid status. )
