Hi 2 all,

Firstly I would like to introduce my self, my name is Qasim and I belong from Karachi Pakistan and relocate to Dubai since more then 2 years working in a Shipping & Freight Forwarding company.

As I have more then 6 years experience along with Executive MBA (Marketing) and I’m 29 years old but after consulting with so many consultants in Dubai half says I’m not eligible and half says I’m eligible, as I personally visited the CIC website and searched the NOC list and found that my credentials will fit in - 1471 Shippers and Receivers.

Now I seek assistance in regards to file my case for Canadian Immigration but due to so many confusion I’m unable to take the decision whether I will file my case myself OR via consultant.

All advices are welcome.

Thanks & B.Rgds

1. Shippers and Receivers NOC 1471 is not on the list of "38"
2. NOC 1471 is not considered skilled work , it is NOC level C, skilled work must be in A,B or O.

So you are not eligible.

Yours is not the same problem, OP doesn't qualify for either FSW1,2,3 as s/he has not worked in a skilled occupation. Your problem is that your job experience is not on the list for FSW1, so to apply on either FSW2/3 you are required to be either working in Canada in a skilled occupation or have an approved AEO from a Canadian employer to qualify.

A person would have to working in Canada in a Semi skilled job, and that job would have to be on the Provincial PNP programs Occupations under Pressure list. The only two provinces that will accept semi-skilled jobs in their PNP program are, I believe BC and Alberta. Manitoba has semi-skill for LD Semi drivers. None have shippers/receivers on their lists.
