I am also from Pakistan. My A34 started March 2026. I think mine due to extensive travel history. Hope for the best for all.

I have the same A34 Comprehensive did start on Nov 28, 2023 soon will be three years of this s****t. Next week Im expecting to hear from MP but I dont have any hope. Im waiting for at least 41 months for this to end.

From my MP I found out that they are doing military verification, I'm from Serbia never did serve in regular army I did my civilian service in one association for disable persons. They did ask for documentation and they did get is and now they are doing the review. From GCMC notes one note is saying "Partners indicate that file is still under review - no time given' this one is from June 2025. another one older from Nov 2024 "File reviewed & O/S for final decision" Security in Process for PA' They are probably checking that military / civilian service but why its taking so long I dont know.

There is a part with this title "INSTRUCTIONS TO PARTNERS" if there are 2 partners involved, 2 "INSTRUCTIONS TO PARTNERS" should exist. find them and see what is the instruction ?

I dont know, I dont have any hope that will anything will happen this year. Or I will need to go with lawyer and go with Mandamus.

I’m originally from a Central Asian Country (Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, etc), and I think there are a few factors that may have contributed to the comprehensive A34 security screening, although I can’t say for certain because IRCC hasn’t given me a specific reason.

I worked for a provincial government Education Department in my home country in an HR role. My spouse also has an IT background, and I noticed in our GCMS notes that IRCC referenced two government positions as being at the national level. Neither of us has ever worked in the military.

I’ve also lived in two different countries and travelled to several countries, including Canada, Turkey, Cambodia, Malaysia and the UAE (Dubai). So I suspect the screening may simply involve additional verification of our employment, residence and travel history. IRCC has completed our medical, criminality and information-sharing checks, but the comprehensive security screening has been pending for quite a while.

That’s just my understanding, though; I don’t have confirmation from IRCC that any one of these factors is the reason for the A34 referral.

Btw, I am not from Iran, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, etc.
