Security Interview

We got asked for a security interview that was held Dec 20th and were told we passed. None of my online accounts show any indication of having or being asked for an interview. GCMS notes from last May show no indication of needing an interview. I think the only reason we had an interview is that I found a number for the CBSA and had my MP call. My file had been gathering dust since then. It's been two weeks now with no update. Starting to get worried that we are going to be gathering dust again. I've been waiting 7 months for new GCMS notes, VO not responding. 23 months in process. What time do you usually wait after an interview to see something in your account?

Security interviews are really rare. I'm not sure anyone is going to be able to answer your question regarding expected timing.

Thank you. we had everything completed including pre-arrival in July 2021. didn't even know about an interview. Fed up with waiting and no one to contact

Security interviews only happen when something triggers the need for one in the background or security check. I've never heard of a security interview happening because someone inquired about their file or because an MP pushed for a result. IMO they had already determined that a security interview was required (based on something they saw in the background or security checks) but were dragging their heels in scheduling. Your MP's actions then pushed for a result and this caused the security interview to finally be scheduled. Anyway, just my perspective.

Yes, that makes sense. wondering why my file is not updating still or if I have to keep pushing.

Your security interview was with CBSA? That seems odd...
