Hi my name is Rico and I’m living in canada for almost 10 years.. I have a problem here it goes
On 2010 I decided to pull out my dependants (wife and son) to my paper because they are failed to submit the requirements/medical the reason maybe because the wife had an affair to another man that time and now married to some guy there, so I did a satutory declaration to get my PR in 2014 stating that they dont want to come here, before I got my PR wayback 2013 I married my second wife back home in religious marriage. Now I am filing here a divorce to my first wife. The question is CAN I SPONSOR MY SECOND WIFE EVEN THOUGH THE SECOND MARRIAGE IS DONE BEFORE THE DIVORCE?
can someone assist me. Thank you so much! Your answer is very much appreciated.

No, you cannot. Canada will not recognize your marrriage as legal since you married before your divorce to your first spouse was finalized.

It also feels a bit problematic that you married your second wife in a religious ceremony before landing in Canada and before removing your first wife from your application.

It may be a good idea to consult an immigration lawyer. However ultimately IRCC is not going to recognize your second marriage as legal. You need to get divorced first and then marry your second spouse after the divorce for the second marriage to be recognized.
