Hey there, I'm an Australian citizen who from January 1st of 2014, lived in Canada on a visitors status, halfway through the year until December 24th of 2014 I changed to a student visa. I'm planning on visiting Canada again on June 18th 2015. Being Australian I did not need to apply for a visitors visa the first time. I'm planning on staying about 5 weeks. I cant seem to find it, but is there an amount of time I have to wait to go back to Canada on a visitor status again?

There are no black and white rules regarding how often you can visit and how long you need to be outside of Canada before visiting again (that's why you can't find anything). However you do want to avoid giving the impression that you may be trying to live in Canada without authorization. If you have been outside of Canada since December - I don't think you should have any issues re-entering Canada for a five week trip next month. Make sure you have a return ticket and enough available funds to pay for your trip. I really don't think you should expect any problems.

Ah, great, thanks a lot. I've been sweating it out thinking about what would happen if I was turned away at the door after spending so much on a ticket.
