I thought I would shared my story and timeline in hopes this might help other people.

After reading this forum, I thought about not telling CIC that we were engaged. But we decided that honesty is the best policy with CIC.
The first time my fiancé applied she got refused. The reasons was
- Purpose of visit
- Your personal assets and financial status
- I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds, including income or assets, to carry out your stated
purpose in going to Canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada and to effect your departure.
- You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets.
As expected we were devastated.
The second time we took the process more serious.
With what we previously had submitted, addition documentation was
- Property Assest
- Fixed Saving
- Car Insurance
- Strong purpose of visit letter and invitation letter.
Timeline are as follow
First Time - Refused (During the PAFSO Strike)
Applied June 27 Online
Refused Letter July 17 Online
Second Time
Applied September 7
Request for Passport September 22
DHL Courier September 25
Arrived Singapore September 27 (PAFSO Strike Ended)
Passport notified mail out Oct 9
Passport arrived Oct 11
