Hey guys

Not sure of anyone can help but it's worth ago.

I was sponsored by my father as a landed immigrant and moved to Canada from the UK at age 15 in 1989 and lived there for 7 years, I attended high school finished university and worked a lot paying taxes.

I also lost contact with my father and on a couple of occasions collected a welfare cheque (regretting this now!!!).

I left Canada and gave up my landed immigrant status to complete my master degree in animation and have worked in the UK ever since 1996. I am now in contact with my father again and visit my sister in Vancouver who has lived in Canada how for 23 years.

I would really like to move back and give Canada a second try as the majority of my family live there. But because i collected money from the government I understand I can't be sponsored again.

I have been teaching in further education for 8 years and have a teaching degree ( I am also a well paid freelance writer) is there ANYWAY I can get back into Canada??

Thanks for ANY advice :D

1. You are too old for sponsorship anyhow.
2. You will have to qualify for skilled worker, and these days you require to have at least 67 points, and have one years experience in the past 10 in the list of 29 occupation.. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list
3. Otherwise you will have to have an approved job offer in Canada.
