I would like to know if receiving another citizenship after landing has a negative impact on the application for Canadian citizenship? Is there a need to highlight when the second citizenship was received or how it was acquired? Anyone been through a similar experience? Thanks.

You must list all your citizenships when you apply for Canadian citizenship. The application form will ask for this.

Yes I know but will it raise the question of why at the time of landing there was one citizenship and now there are two.

Probably.. I am curious how one gets another citizenship while outside that country. Just a question, I got two, almost three, citizenships as well

It won't raise any flags as far as I'm concerned. There are citizenship acquired through marriage alone without stepping foot in a country. NDP leader Tom Mulclair has French citizenship though marriage. His wife is French.

It may make them take a closer look at your application. IRCC will be curious what your obligations were to get that other citizenship and if it could have somehow conflict with your requirements for Canadian citizenship (especially the RO)

I know someone in this situation. IRCC didn't seem to care one bit, but your experience may vary, depending on how the other citizenship was acquired.
