max time told by the bank to send receipet is around 14 days but I got my receipet in 5 days
so u can try calling the bank
or if u have patience wait u will get it soon

it 11 days total. 8 days fr getting money n 3 days fr GIC certi....buddy. n if they do like this then i wont be able to apply this term.

u can apply buddy as 11 days means 26 th of july and what I have heard from a freind of mine the last date fr visa application is 1st august

and in my case I had called the bank they said it would be around 14 days bt as I told u I got it in 5 days
so w8 fr a day or two then call the bank

hi. i applied on friday. and 11 days mean 31st july/1st aug. 11 days = 11 business days (excluding saturdays and sundays & in case of india exclude 29 too. National holiday)

i called thm on monday n tuesday (today) n will call thm tomorrow too n again n agian until i get my GIC !!!!

Just a suggestion. send an email to newaccount @ scotiabank.com, newaccountr @ scotiabank.com and studentgic @ scotiabank.com. On the subject line mention "Student GIC Follow-up (yourname)", please attach your wire transfer receipt as this will allow the recipient to do a swift-tracer on your wire transfer. You will get an email stating that your email has been received and you will receive an auto-response. This will ensure that a GIC representative will see your email. Even if they don't reply, they might follow-up. I did this procedure and received my GIC account details 3 days after transfer.
