Schools in Etobicoke/surrounding neighborhoods

I would be very grateful for any insights anyone can offer about schools in the Etobicoke area.

Is the public school system robust? Or should I consider private schools? Also, any recommendations for pre-schools, especially Montessori, would be truly appreciated.

Looking to land early next year but need to plan starting now.

Etobicoke has some good schools compared to Mississauga and Brampton
