Hi All,

I want to apply school visa for my daughter (4 yrs) through an agent in India. Here are lots of agents doing their advertisement and convincing the peoples for the same and they are giving 100% success rate for this visa category. They said that parents can go along with child and get work rights for limited time in Canada. Is this info true or false. I need your complete assistance on this.

thanks

100% False. You will not be allowed to work or live here just because your child is studying in Canada. If you want to work in Canada, you need a full time job offer in Canada and an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a work permit.

If an agent is telling you that you will be able to work, that agent is lying to you.

Thanks for your reply......I have searched more on this topic (School Visa) with an agent. I can apply school visa for my child if there is custodian (Caretaker) as Canadian citizen or on work permit. If my child is not happy with her/ him. Can I get back my child custody? If yes then how much time it will take or I have to go back in my country.

As above I have mentioned if this is true then please guide me what is the processing time and one more thing can I pay the tuition fees after visa and is this effective for VISA granted or not.

You appoint a guardian in Canada - not a custodian. You will still have custody of your child. Your child will then go to Canada to study on their own while you will stay behind in your home country. If you are not happy with this arrangement, you can fly your child home immediately.

But once again, this arrangement will NOT allow you to live or work in Canada.

You will need to show a bank balance of at least $25,000 in Canadian dollars in order for your child's study permit to be approved.
