School fees for primary school in Ontario

Hi there,

I am from Singapore and have been considering to pursue a Diploma at Fanshawe College in Ontario. I have a 8 years old child who will be accompanying me to Canada. Some said i do not have to pay tuition fees for him if he is studying in Canada because i will be holding a study permit. However,some said one do not have to pay tuition fees for minor child, only if the parent is doing a post graduate program. What are the requirements in Ontario? If i am studying a diploma program at a public college for 2 yrs, are there tuition fees for my minor child and how much? Can someone please help me?

There is no tuition cost to attend publicly-funded schools in Ontario. Generally, you have to pay to send your child to a private school.
