Hi folks,

My wife and I are filling out documents for her to sponsor me within Canada.

On the Document Checklist Spouse (Including Dependent Children) at section 9 states:

IMPORTANT: For this form to be accepted as part of your paper application, each person required to complete it must:
a) type name in signature box at the bottom
b) validate the form
c) print out the validated form
d) provide a handwritten signature next to the typewritten name in the signature box.

If you do not follow these instructions, the form(s) will not be accepted and the entire application will be returned.

I am using the IMM5669 (06-2019) form. Unlike the IMM5669 (11-2018) version, the latest version has no option for Validating.

Question: Should I be using the 11-2018 version which support validation, or should I continue using the 06-2019 version?

Thanks in advance.

Use the old one. eIMM5669 should be the one it gave you when you use the little wizard thing to get all the forms for the package, that's the one you need to use.

Hi there - I have the same issue. The form that downloaded when I clinked the link in the Checklist is the 06-2019 version but it has no Validation button.

I don't want to use an older version and get my application sent back...They already sent back our package once this summer because we didn't include the Schedule A form (as the old checklist CLEARLY said this was to be completed later with the Police Checks...but alas)

What is the wizard thing you are referring to?

I think he's talking about this wizard to get the checklist and forms: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/spouse.asp
