I am hoping somebody can help me with a question I have regarding filling out the Work Experience section (question 11) on Schedule 3 (economic classes).
First of all, some background:
I am a web developer and web development is the only work I have done that falls into Skill Level A, B or O of the NOC. However, I have done web development in 3 different capacities:
I worked part time as an employee doing web development from 05/2006 - 09/2007 (about 807 hours total) while a student
Then spent all my time studying and not working until May of 2009
May of 2009 - present I have been doing web development as self employed individual. I have worked about 2,800 paid hours in this time period and I have obtained letters from 3 of my largest clients to prove that during this time I have completed over 2000+ paid hours which is the part-time equivalent of 1 year of full time continuous work.
As of February 1st, 2012 I am also employed by a company as a full-time web developer.
So, on question 11, should I list 3 different "occupations" as "web developer #1, web developer #2, web developer #3" with the above dates for the time periods? And for web developer #1 check "less than 1 year experience" For web developer #2 check "1-2 years experience". And for web developer #3 check "less than 1 year? "
Then when it asks me to rank in order of preference, should I put Web Developer #2 b/c it has been the self-employed web development where I have gained my part-time equivalent of 1 year of full-time continuous work experience?
