Sent Citizenship Application May 3, 2012.
Applications received by Cic on May 10, 2012.
Discovery Canada book recieved on June 3, 2012.
File Transfer to Scarborough Cic on October 5, 2012.
Start processing on November 13, 2012.
Citizenship test was done on March 27, 2013.
Ecas updated on April 15, 2013; giving me Oath date on April 29, 2013.
I applied with exactly 1096 days present in Canada and didn't ask for any additional documents from Cic, no residency questioniare since I haven't leave Canada since I became a Permanent resident May 2010.
My friend applied one year before me in March 2011 and wrote her Citizenship test in March 2o12 and haven't heard anything since, so I call myself the lucky one. ON APRIL 29, 2012 ; I AM DONE WAITING ON CIC!

Congrats!

You are really the lucky one. However,I highly doubt that it has got anything to do with your local office .One good example has been provided by you ,of your friend.Infact, during past few weeks I have read couple of experiences shared by people about faster processing nowadays.I think it might be a new trend adopted by CIC after issuing a plethora of RQs last year.May be they are already over burdened with lots of RQs,so processing the relatively new (& may be less suspicious )applications faster ,to stop the system from being clogged.
But,it will be interesting to see ,how things move in the coming months. In my view,CIC is pretty confused, and the whole system is undergoing an overhaul.

i think they should follow something similar to US green card processing. When you apply for green card, the date they receive the application is called priority date. As long as your priority date is current, even in situation like RQ, you will still get your priority. They don't give first class treatment to some people and second class or third class treatment to others.

yes lucky one good for you, but now that you are done, PLEASE dont forget the people behind you and vote against the conservative party this October election, both liberals and NDP are calling for cutting out waiting times in citizenship applications to a half.
