Dear Seniors: Need your advise & guidance;

In coming days, going to send my detailed application to VO London. I have got reference letter from my previous employer after lot of pain & don't want to send these original letter's.

Do scanned, color print out works in place of originals??.

They want originals, you can send notarized photocopy also but that can delay your application. At a later stage they may ask originals and it would delay your file by 2-3 months. NO SCANNED OR COLOR PRINT IS REQUIRED. Just notary attested photocopy or original.

I would send original and keep the copy.

I don't think when look for a job you would give the original either.

Immigration officer has priority over potential employer.

If (God Forbid) you get rejected you wouldn't need that original in Canada anyway.

Hi ,

The best thing for you to do is get your employer give two to three copies of the letter. You can tell them, one original is needed for CIO and one for your local embassy. That way you can get two or more original copies.

It would be bette to send the originals, you can retain a notarized copy of the letter, for your reference. Meanwhile, try to get a second copy of the original letter.

If you are making color copies, do mention it is a "color photocopy. "

Well explorer: thanks for reply; but since u have crossed all stages, can u plz tell us. Do these VO's return these original docs after making decision on a case. (not only speaking about Reference letters but also original birth, marriage certificates & IELTS result etc)

Precise & Logical.......:)

Hi Explorer,

I can see a very consistent and fast processing of your application for FSW. Even after the changes in November 2008, I have seen very few people who have finally got the Visa in India. Some reason or the other, the embassy people keep on asking new documents.

I just wanted to request you a few details about your profile like ur qualification, work experience and other fine aspects of your application preparation methodology which gave you an edge. Also Did you seek advice from some immigration consultant ?

Regards,

Ajit

Visa offices normally demand "Notarized Employment contract (Appointment letter) & Original Refrence Letters". Rest is your choice, whatever u want to send. I have decided to submit "Notarized copies of Incom tax returns" additionally.

Will i be benifitted if i send all original document

Dear All; Still wish to have answer of my query. Are original documents returned after a decision is made (either refused or accepted) on the case.

I got my original documents like IELTS and reference letters back after visa was stamped and my local visa office was New Delhi. Usually they send but sometimes just forget to do so.
